This year, we spent the 4th at Kathy's like we did last year. She invited us over for BBQ and swimming, and we planned to go to their church for the big fireworks show like last year. Scott had a few days off and he came down to spend it with us and Todd came over, too. We had a great time, with some AMAZING food. I didn't get many pictures, because we were just busy having a good time. I kept meaning to go back and take more pictures of Kinley in her cute outfit, but it just never happened.
The event at Faithbridge UMC is HUGE. They charter buses and you park at one of 2 different high schools in the area and they shuttle you to the church. Last year, it took a LONG time to catch the buses back to the high schools, so Kathy didn't want to do that again. Scott dropped John, me, Kinley, Kassie, Owen and Cooper off at the church, then went back to park at Kathy's house. Then, everyone walked to the church (it was a little over a mile). Todd decided to skip the fireworks and head back home, because he had to work Friday.
We got there right before the fireworks started, and left to walk back right after. The show was good, but I wish we had a little more time to sit and hang out. It was a lot of fun, though, and I imagine it won't be the last time.
